Katherine, a Miami native, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations, with a Minor in Latin American Studies from Cornell University. She obtained her Juris Doctor with Certificates in both Civil Law and International & Comparative Law, from Loyola University New Orleans, College of Law.
Before returning to Florida, Katherine litigated securities class actions and shareholder derivative suits, Federal Longshore & Harbor Workers’ Compensation and Defense Base Act cases. She also served as an advocate on behalf of domestic violence victims and children – successfully securing judgments in favor of her clients in over 250 bench trials. After being nominated by her peers, Katherine was certified as a Child Welfare Law Specialist by the National Association of Counsel for Children.
Prior to founding Bender & Robb, PLLC, Katherine practiced in a Miami boutique law firm for many years litigating homeowners insurance cases, helping secure millions of dollars in settlements for thousands of Florida homeowners from their homeowner insurance carriers.
When she is not in the office, Katherine, she is home with her husband and daughter in the Pinecrest area, where she grew up. She is fluent in Spanish, of Colombian-American heritage, and also served in the Peace Corps as a Business Development Volunteer in Paraguay. Katherine has invested in and followed the digital currency market for many years and is excited about the opportunity to help others like herself, protect their assets and plan for the future.
Brandon earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Loyola University College of Law in 2008, graduating in the top five percent of his class. While there, he was on the editorial board of the Loyola Law Review and was the brief writer for Loyola’s international environmental moot court team, which won the world championship in 2007. One of the founding partners of Bender & Robb, PLLC, Brandon’s primary practice is estate planning and probate matters. Brandon enjoys getting to know his clients on a personal level and tailoring his work to meet their specific needs and objectives.
Prior to moving to Florida, Brandon was a founding partner of the law firm of Delaney, Robb & Rubin in New Orleans, Louisiana, which was the first law firm in the state of Louisiana to focus on the unique legal needs of the state’s LGBTQ+ community. Before that firm’s founding, Brandon worked as an associate at the firm of Sessions, Fishman, Nathan & Israel in New Orleans. Throughout his thirteen years of law practice, Brandon has been actively involved in the professional development of colleagues in a variety of ways, including presenting numerous Continuing Legal Education courses and participating in many discussion panels before practicing attorneys as well as law students.
In addition, he has guest lectured a number of law school classes related to successions and probate, and family law with special emphasis to LGBTQ+ families.
